
Nokia have finally unveiled information on their new netbook sized device. It is to be named the Nokia Booklet 3G and from the specs that have been revealed, it seems to be a netbook worth looking out for.
The Booklet 3G is a Windows based machine that is powered by an Intel Atom Processor and battery wise it has an impressive 12 hour life although that is achieved through light usage.
The Booklet’s screen measures 10.1 inches and is in a HD format. A HDMI port is also included allowing you to connect it up to a HDTV or HD projector. The shell of the Booklet is made of aluminium and is just 2cm thin. It weighs are 1 kilo. As Nokia have created this netbook it’s naturally expected to have great connectivity. In this case it has 3G/HSDPA that can pick up a signal and let you browse in many places. The SIM card slot is hot-swappable allowing you to quickly switch networks if needed without switching the device off. Other connectivity options include bluetooth and Wi-Fi. An SD card slot is also included in the unit allowing you to easily transfer pictures from your digital camera.
The Booklet has aGPS built in that works along-side Ovi Maps. A front-facing webcam can also be used to make video calls. Although these are the official details, more details will be revealed next week at Nokia World to be held on September 2nd.
