Nokia have announced the official price of the Nokia Booklet to be €575 which works out at $816 USD pre subsidized. It is quite a high price but due to the integrated data connection we could see many mobile phone providers subsidizing it quite a bit to shift units when it is launched.
SlashGear also managed to get a hands-on with the device showing a pre-production unit. The pre-production unit was running Windows 7 and there was a bit of occasional sluggishness although this could be just related to drivers not being fully complete for the final version.
The Nokia Booklet runs an Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor and Slashgear reported that it has a keyboard that’s one of the best they have seen on a netbook sized device. Keys feel great and the spacing is also good too. The trackpad was reported as being large with well spaced buttons.
Battery wise it has a 3,840mAh battery that is claimed to have up to 12 hours of usage. I suspect that to get the full 12 hours you will need to do some very lightweight work like wordprocessing with screen brightness on the lowest and wireless switched off. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was capable of at least 8 hours using wireless. Check out a full set of pictures of the Booklet over on SlashGear.
Expect more details soon of this fantastic netbook/booklet. Via: Slashgear
